Designer Spotlight: Tony Bianco

The Ariette Made To Order Boot

The Ariette Made To Order Boot

Hey lovas after a one year hiatus, Designer Spotlight is back in full effect. I have super big plans for this section from creation to execution, but in the mean time I decided that I want to continue to bring you the designers/brands I am crushing on.

With that said, first up to clack - as in clackin' heels - is Tony Bianco. Tony Bianco is an Australian footwear brand that specializes in chic. From made to order thigh-high lace up boots {as seen on Emily B} to classically shaped block heeled sandals, there's much to choose from. I am particularly fond of the minimalist approach to the designs. Clean angles, sharp lines an neutral colors allow for Tony Bianco to become an instant closet staple.

Not to mention, the price point is well, allllaadat! The brand also dabbles in handbags, eyewear, and jewelry. If you want to add some classic pizazz to your collection, I suggest you hop on over to the site and check 'em out - it'll be the quickest trip to Australia, like E-V-E-R!

Designer Spotlight: Celine

Phoebe Philo has created a fashion powerhouse over at Celine. I'm talking concepting and delivering a 'never to miss' season of great shoes, bags and clothes. Lets face it, every sensible fashionista on the planet saves her duckets or goes bankrupt when its time pick the best investment pieces. Either that or sugar daddy's are on speed dial across the globe, but I digress.

Designer Spotlight this week goes to the daring and darling Celine. The shot above is the Metallic Gold Wedge Pump that I searched high and low for and eventually located on eBay. I've only worn them twice, but every time I do, I feel like I'm on cloud C

Check out what I'm coveting and can't wait to get my hands on IMMEDIATELY...

Click on style names to check out Celine's lookbook and per usual you can find the collection at the likes of Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, MyTheresa and more.

Happy searching (start by clicking on the retailers above to go straight to their sites) and shoepping.

Designer Spotlight: Ruthie Davis

This week's Designer Spotlight goes to the indelible, vivacious and enthusiastic Ruthie Davis - have you seen her instagram?! One of my BFF's put me on to this woman and her delicious shoe collection about two years ago and I've been in love with them and HER ever since.

If you scroll a few pages back, you'll see my post of the hottest sales of the season where I featured the Ruthie Davis brand and touted her for creating 'platform perfection'. Ms. Davis began creating shoes in 2006 after a notable career in the fashion and footwear business. Her knack for design and her business acumen allowed her to quickly rise to the top of the shoeuniverse. In most recent shoenews, she became a member of the CFDA and her infamous "Odyssey" heels created for Queen Bey will be featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - not bad huh!

I won't go into too much detail because we keep things light and fun at From The Bottom Up, but some of these major accomplish could not go without mention. Without further-ado, see my favs from her collection...

The Stefani. Knee high caged sandal zipups that I'd rock in 30 degree weather with a pair of denim shorts and an overcoat. They are worth the freeze!

The Ashlee. An all time favorite I have yet to add to my shoe collection. Perfect pop of coral to jazz up an outfit in summer or fall.

Kelly. A classic pump with a kick. The two-tone patent leather shoe goes with any outfit and look comfy as all get out. Love the wedge like detail of the heel too. Killer!

The Levan. Not your average mary jane. This 5.5 inch stunner is less school girl and more grown woman. The colored heel is fun and plays perfectly into the navy blue. Can't wait to own a pair.

Joanne. I first noticed these on Ruthie Davis' Instagram and instantly fell in love! Just looking at them make me want to bring out my inner stripper! The lucite heel is super playful and the cuff like ankle strap adds uniqueness. Needless to say, I want...no I NEED these now!

All shoes are avail at www.ruthiedavis.com.

Happy Shoepping lovas.

p.s. the Ashlee, Kelly and Levan are all currently on sale ;0)!!

p.p.s i can't wait to get into her shoe studio to interview her for Shoe Stories!
